It’s official: on September 5th 2009, Desert Flower will celebrate its world premiere during the Venice International Film Festival 2009.

Waris Dirie: “I am happy that Desert Flower will finally be in the cinemas after five years of producing this movie. We had to fight long and hard to finance a movie about such a complex and difficult topic, and I am delighted to present the result in this great setting”

No less than nine international film productions will celebrate their premiere in Venice this year. In addition to numerous European celebrities, US Stars such as Matt Damon, George Clooney, Michael Moore, Kevin Spacey, Richard Gere, Charlize Theron, Nicolas Cage and Oliver Stone are expected in Venice from September 2nd onwards.
