Discussing the FGM-ban with pupils in Djibouti gives me hope!

FGM has been legally forbidden in Djibouti since 2005 and the penalties are high. Education on this topic is offered in the schools.

During my sojourn in Djibouti, I had the chance to visit schools and converse with pupils and teachers. I am really very proud: Africa is changing, and Djibouti is taking cutting-edge position in East Africa.

I was amazed at how many pupils had read my books and were informed about my work. I promised to return soon to support more projects.
