Another case of FGM in a country that is hardly ever associated with FGM: Israel.

He hadn´t seen anything like it for more than ten years, said the head of the Israeli hospital that admitted a genitally mutilated Bedouin girl suffering from heavy blood loss. He had been sure that FGM had been over and done with in Israel long ago.

The shocked doctors state that the following case demonstrates that this is not so after all. Even the father of the concerned girl, who´s life is now no longer in danger, was misinformed and had no idea that the cruel procedure of genital mutilation could prove fatal for his daughter. The doctors involved deemed the father “believable”.

Now Israel is also in need of prevention and punishment of FGM-offenders once again. I hope to hear a public explanation soon!
