Sudan – Reacting to the advice of the Islamic Fiqh Academy, the Sudanese cabinet has decided to officially allow certain types of FGM. Human rights activitsts claim that while FGM has never been prosecuted in Sudan, this change gives out a wrong signal by legalising FGM.
