A book and a future for Wuyatta and her friends

Dear supporters of my Desert Flower Foundation!

Today, on April 23, 2017, many people all around the globe celebrate the World Book Day and the joy of reading.
Stories are being read and books are distributed worldwide.

But what many of you may not know: At the other end of the world is Wuyatta, one of over 400 million children in Africa, who has never held a book in her hands.

At their home town  Bo, Sierra Leone, books are a luxury for many children and adults.
Wuyatta has never owned a  book. Even in school, she has to share an old schoolbook with 30 children.

On the World Book Day, we celebrate the wonderful stories and their authors, but today we should write history and give Wuyatta and all the children in Africa their first book and the key to more education.

Only with education  we can fight the problems of my home continent Africa!

That is why, I started together with my Desert Flower Foundation our education campaign "Desert Flower Power" and wrote a first reading book for children in Africa.

Together with your help I want to give each child its first reading book and the key to more education.

With a donation of 10 €, a child in Africa will receive its Desert Flower Power Box including a first reading book, a notebook, a school bag and a set of coloured pencils.

"There are books on all subjects, for every audience and at all times, but we have to make sure that books are accessible to everyone and everywhere." - UNESCO

In 1995, UNESCO introduced the World Book Day in order to promote books and the joy of reading.
Please support our cause today and give a book to a child in Africa today!
