The Greek Supreme Court, Areopag, has conducted an investigation concerning female genital mutilation cases in Greece.
It is believed that FGM is carried out on girls and young women in Athens as well as refugee camps.
Many of the affected women come from Africa, Pakistan and Indonesia. Genital mutilation is illegal in Greece and in other EU countries.
Aeropag's attorney Xeni Dimitriou takes all necessary measures to put an end to this brutal ritual, she speaks of "brutality which is not tolerated by the Greek state".
The Greek Supreme Court sets important measures in the fight against FGM.
