We are proud to announce that the exclusive Avant-Première of Desert Flower in Paris in March 2010 has raised 55.000 Euro for the fight against female genital mutilation.

The event, which was organised by the PPR Foundation for Women’s Dignity of which Waris Dirie is a founding member and was attented by Waris Dirie and numerous French and international celebrities aimed to collect donations for projects for women and against FGM.

The money will entirely be donated to the French organisation Equilibre & Population, and will officially be handed over to the organisation on April 29th in Paris.
