Zinab is six years old and lives in Allentown in Sierra Leone. She has been through a lot in her short life. She became an orphan in January this year as her parents died from Ebola in a space of only one week. She and her siblings live with their grandmother who fights every day for her grandchildren with her modest income.

Thanks to the Desert Flower Foundation, Zinab is able to attend the Anerdan Primary School. Her teacher told us Zinab is incredibly intelligent and can solve given tasks much quicker than any other child. When Zinab thinks of her parents she becomes very sad. Then, her classmates and teacher take her in their arms and comfort her.

Desert Flower Foundation paid Zinab’s school fees for the whole year in advance and bought her all necessary school materials. Her grandmother signed the contract guaranteeing her granddaughter’s integrity and would like to thank all of our generous supporters.
