2,250 children already attend our Desert Flower Foundation schools

Dr. Manfred Jäger Educational Center in Sierra Leone officially opened

Opening of the Dr. Manfred Jäger Educational Center in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

WE HAVE GROWN AGAIN!

We recently opened the Dr. Manfred Jäger Educational Center for 650 children in Sierra Leone. The Desert Flower Foundation would like to thank entrepreneur Christian Jäger and his family for their valuable and generous donation!

After the

  • Kiera Chaplin school,
  • Werner Holzer school,
  • Rotary Club Heidenheim school (all in 2020)

and the

  • Africa Aweee school (2020)

the Dr. Manfred Jäger Educational Center in Sierra Leone's capital Freetown is our fifth Desert Flower Foundation school. It is named after the father of entrepreneur, investor and major donor Christian Jäger. This means that 2,250 children are now attending a Desert Flower Foundation school. In the fight against the cruel ritual of female genital mutilation (FGM), we focus on education. We are convinced: Education stops FGM!

Help that is REALLY sustainable! And gives children the chance of a self-determined life.

If you say "Yes", I would also like to finance a school that bears my name, the name of a family member or that of my company, then please contact Mr. Walter Lutschinger, Managing Director of the Desert Flower Foundation, by e-mail at walter.lutschinger@desertflowerfoundation.org. He will provide you with all the necessary information and will be happy to advise you in detail!

We look forward to hearing from you!
