My grandmother is a house gardener and she earns very little. Sometimes it was very difficult for us. Fortunately, we have learned of the sponsorship project of the Desert Flower Foundation and since then we live a better life.

Esther is 6 years old and has been participating in the “Save a little Desert Flower” program of the Desert Flower Foundation for several months. She lives in the second largest city in Sierra Leone called Bo City, which have been considerably destroyed in the civil war, and severely affected by Ebola.

Esther is a very shy girl who barely has friends at school. Nevertheless, she is very smart and learns faster than all the other kids in her class. She loves to recite poems and has a very good memory. Esther also enjoys singing and listening to music. During one of her health and integrity examinations performed by our paediatrician, Dr.Frances Sesay, our small girl was diagnosed with umbilical hernia, which is treated now.
