Dr. Manfred Jäger School

In May 2024, we opened the Dr. Manfred Jäger Educational Center in Sierra Leone's capital Freetown. A school where a further 650 children will receive a regular school education. In one of the poorest countries in the world with one of the highest illiteracy rates in the world.
This school project was made possible thanks to a generous donation from entrepreneur and investor Christian Jäger and his family. The school is named after his father Manfred Jäger. His son Christian did not miss the opportunity to travel to Sierra Leone for the opening of the school.

"There is no better investment than in the education of young people", says major donor Christian Jäger with conviction. He is addressing precisely what the Desert Flower Foundation has made a key issue in the fight against female genital mutilation (FGM): Education is the only way to end FGM sustainably!
